PV Designer / Plan Set Drafter
You turn a signed contract into a buildable, permittable design. Layout in Aurora or Artemis, single-line and three-line diagrams, structural attachment detail, load calculations, and a plan set that gets through Riverside County and city plan check without a correction letter. This is the in-house engineering seat — stamped structural and electrical work goes to our licensed engineering partners, and you coordinate with them.
What you will do
- Produce residential and commercial PV and storage layouts
- Draft permit-ready plan sets: site plan, single-line, three-line, placards, attachment detail
- Run string sizing, voltage drop, and conductor calculations
- Apply NEC 690/705 and California Title 24 requirements correctly
- Coordinate stamped calculations with outside structural and electrical engineers
- Resolve plan-check corrections and revise drawings quickly
What we need from you
- 2+ years PV design or construction drafting
- Fluent in AutoCAD plus at least one PV design platform (Aurora, Helioscope, or Artemis)
- Working knowledge of NEC 690 and 705
- Experience with Southern California AHJ plan check preferred
